Homemade Dye Recipes
Food colouring dyes

Use more colouring for a darker colour, or less for paler colours
- 1/2 cup hot water

Be careful, this stains everything!
- 4 teabags
- 1 cup boiling water
Place tea bags in a bowl and pour on boiling water (ask an adult to do this). Leave to soak for 10 minutes.
Pale purple dye
- 1 cup dried black beans (also known as turtle beans)
- 2 cups boiling water
Place beans in a bowl and pour on boiling water (ask an adult to do this).
Leave to soak for 30 minutes at least.
